Warm enough to wear shorts on Saturday? Could be!
Start at Oakdale Nature Preserve at 12:30 p.m. The Discovery Center building will be open with bathrooms and water.
However, there is an indoor market also going on in the building from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. It should be winding down and we should have parking spaces. You could come a little earlier and check it out.
Route does a loop in Oakdale, a loop through Demontreville, a quick rest stop at the Holiday station at 11.4 miles before the last loop on 53rd/McDonald and back.
Terrain is rolling with a few little ups and downs. Route is loaded to print, download or pin to your phone. B/C pace to average in the 12.5-13 mph range at the end. Faster riders are welcome to ride off ahead.
Roads are pretty clean but still some snow on the edges with a few areas of water on roads and puddles. Hopefully the warmer weather on Friday will dry things out even more.
Weather forecast looks good, but if that changes and it’s not good, ride could be delayed or canceled. Please check the usual places or don’t hesitate to call or text me at 612 381 6711 if questions about the ride.
I think Lyle is doing a copycat C ride, so if a more leisurely pace suits you better, you’ve got that option.
