Update!

Just pre-walked the unplowed Westwood Lake trails.  They are too slippery and slushy.  I took twice as many steps as usual to keep from sliding and losing my balance.  So we're changing the route.  Starting in the same start location - Westwood Hills Nature Center parking lot. But walking plowed tar paths, streets and sidewalks especially Lamplighter Pond and the Middle School. Traction devices will not be needed, will wear regular hiking boots or shoes.

We will be leading a 3.2 mile hike/walk starting at 11:30 am on Thursday, March 19th,   
from Westwood Hills Nature Center at - 8300 W Franklin Ave, St Louis Park, MN 55426

Meet the group outside the southeast entry doors to the Nature Center building, by the large chipmunk sculpture.   
The restrooms are open inside the building, and there are filtered water fountains.

We will be wearing hiking boots and walking/hiking at a casual/relaxed pace.   

Pets are unfortunately not allowed in Westwood Hills trails per City of St Louis Park.

Optional lunch is after the hike at TeaHouse Sichuan Chinese at 88 Nathan Ln N, Plymouth, MN 55441.

Insurance information:  
Walks and Hikes are covered by our club's insurance, if posted on our club's ride calendar by a current ride leader.  
Attendees must be current TCBC members for the insurance coverage, Guests are also welcome but only covered by insurance on their first event.
