Albany to Collegeville and return, 26 miles 

You must be a TCBC member to participate in this ride; please register for this ride so that ride leaders can contact you.  This is Day 1 of a three-day ride. You are welcome for any or all days.

Meet at the Wobegon Trail Head in Albany** at 400 Railroad Drive. Please arrive ahead of 10:30 to get you and your bike ready and to get a ride briefing. Today we bike east to Collegeville where we’ll have lunch at St. John’s University. If you want more miles, it’s 2.5 miles to St Joseph from the turn off to Collegeville and 5 miles from St. Joseph to Waite Park.  

There will be a happy hour at the hotel from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Dinner is on your own -- there are many dinner options near the hotel. 

Lodging has been arranged at the Baymont Inn by Wyndham in Albany. Please see the Overnight Ride page (go to: biketcbc.org, click on “NEWS” and look for “Overnight Trips”) for a link to make a reservation. The room may be canceled up to 24 hours in advance. Other lodging may be found in Avon, Melrose, and St. Cloud. 

** From the Cities, follow I94 west until you get to Exit 147; at the top of the ramp, turn right.  It will take about 1.5 hours from the Twin Cities. The Baymont hotel is on your left as you enter town; the trailhead is to the right at 400 Railroad Drive. You’ll see a small park with covered pavilion and a parking lot, and the City Hall and Library nearby.
