This is a C level - mixed terrain Ride to Breakfast/Snack at Swede Hollow Cafe on 7th Street in St Paul and back. We will stop at Swede Hollow Cafe for a food break. The ride is on paved streets and bike paths. We start at Autumn Grove Park in Roseville. There are bathrooms at the Autumn Grove Park building. Check the weather the morning of the ride to confirm the ride is on. Bring plenty of water and a helmet (required). If you are a new guest there is a consent release form to be signed before the ride. If you have any questions, please call or email Paul Floyd at 612-205-0773 and paulfloyd@mac.com. This is a co-lead ride so feel free to call or email Donna Floyd at donnajfloyd@msn.com or at 612-269-4725.
Join us for this 43 mile B ride that winds through quiet neighborhoods and scenic bike trails. We will try to keep the group together at the B pace, but self sufficient riders are welcome to ride faster or slower. There will be a short rest stop at mile 17 at Elm Creek chalet for water and restrooms, then a lunch stop at mile 30 at Coon Rapids McDonald's. Parking will be at North Mississippi Regional Park that is ½ mile north of the Kroening Nature Center where the B/C and C rides start. The rest room will not be open yet, so please stop at the Kroening building first if you need a rest room at the start.
The Lift Bridge Ride is back for yet another year!
This ride features a descent down “Nason Hill” and the very exhilarating “Fairy Falls Hill”. Of course what goes down must go back up. We have a couple of punchy climbs and a couple of gradual steady ones. We'll start with a warmup through town out to Dellwood Rd (MN 96). Once we get to 96 we'll be up to our faster steady pace.
Stay for socialization and refreshments (Including their delicious site-brewed root beer) afterward if you desire. Some snacks are available as well at the brewery, but they do not serve any food.
Rain may cause cancellation at the leaders' discretion. Please pre-register for the ride so that you can receive any communications regarding route, weather, or potential cancellation.
Must be an active TCBC member or 1st time guest to ride.
Hope to see you there!
The Gateway-Brown's Creek Trail Association is seeking volunteers to plant seedlings along the trail. Come join us to enhance a trail that is so connected to TCBC. Volunteers should bring the following:
Sturdy soled shoes with ankle support; we will be planting on slopes. A shovel or two, if available, A metal rake, if available. Work gloves, sun protection, water and rain gear (if needed).
Parking: Volunteers will park on the street, just north of 5242 Granada Ave N (The house address is ONLY a point of reference. Do not go to the house. We will meet on the road, by a trail access point.)
You must also register with the Gateway-Brown's Creek Train Association using this link: https://www.gatewaybrownscreektrail.org/event-6648047
Afterwards, come join us to socialize and get a bite to eat.
This is a copy cat ride. See the BC ride description for details.
This is a fun and relaxing C level ride (9-11 mile average) and it is a no drop ride. Everyone must have a helmet to join us on the ride.
I will lead from the front of the group and since Donna has a conflict I will look for a sweep to be co leader for this ride.
We will start at Autumn Grove Park (where there are restrooms open in the park building- use the front door).
We will then ride through Roseville & Shoreview - reaching Taste of Scandinavia in Arden Hills on 96 for our lunch break (at the 15 mile mark).
At the lunch stop, feel free to ride ahead if you would rather skip our lunch break - just let me know..
Any questions, please call or text me at 612 205-0773 or email me at. paulfloyd@mac.com. Paul Floyd
Ps This Wednesday (April 15 - Tax day!) does not look like rain at this time, but always check to see if the ride is cancelled for some reason.
RIDES FROM THE OAKDALE TARGET STORE
Come join me for the start of the Champlin Mid-Morning Ramble, a weekly ride. Mapless routes at a “C” pace.
Usual distance is 20-25 miles.
Usual leader: Mary Swanstrom. Others may lead or co-lead as well.
Let's meet at the N/W corner of the Eagan Community Center. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing (5-10 minutes before 12pm), and roll out when that's done. All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.
If it is cloudy or raining we are riding. Our route consists of trails and quiet roads.
We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH). Restrooms are available at the start and end of the ride. We have an additional bathroom stop at mile 14, 19 and 30 if needed. We will not have a planned coffee stop, so please bring sufficient snacks.
Regarding daytime usage of lights, the ride leader would kindly appreciate that all front lights are slightly tilted towards the ground on a solid or pulse setting. By doing this the ride leader is not not blinded when looking in their mirror :) Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; bus card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group. (Buddy Flaps are highly encouraged)
Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed in the Weather Status or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email.
We hope you can join us!

ALL-CLUB RIDES
This route covers many of the same roads as Mr. Rogers Neighborhood but with a diversion over to Rum River Central Park and the 2.5=mile loop on the scenic trail around the park. Portable toilet available at the ride start and possibly along the way. Possible rest stops at the park at mile 16-17 and McDonalds at mile 30. This ride has a couple short but steep hills on the park trail and a 1.5-mile gradual climb out of the river valley from the park back to Mr. Rogers Neighborhood. Expect average speed overall to be around 15-16 mph, but with road portions potentially faster.
